Every monthly donation helps more destitute patients with safe shelter
It was a hectic day at Sapna's Social Services Counter on 27th Sept 2016, when an anxious college girl called to report a destitute person lying near a bus stop in Delhi.
One of Sapna's social workers Sunil Kumar, who immediately reached the spot with an ambulance, was shaken by the sight that the person was in. Lying amidst a heap of garbage, with large gaping wounds infested with maggots, he was conscious but unable to move. Sunil immediately took control and administered him with first aid. He cleaned and clothed him and then took him to Safdarjung Hospital's emergency unit, where Sapna and its workers took good care of him.
After his discharge, he was taken to Anandam, Sapna's Home for Sick and Destitute people at Alwar, for recuperation. He has become hale and hearty and continues to live in Anandam.
