Monthly donations help visually impaired children like Amudha get an education
Amudha's parents considered abandoning her when she was born with a birth defect. She was visually impaired and her parents did not want the double burden of raising a female child who was also blind.
Amudha was raised under the care of her maternal grandfather who motivated her to attend school despite her disadvantage. She continued her secondary education at IAB, after which she finished her Bachelors and Masters degree in History.
She also did her B.Ed from Stephens, after which she finally became a govt school teacher in Tamil Nadu. From being an unwanted child to being the pillar of her family, Amudha has turned her life around for the better and her story can motivate many others who think life is unfair.
